STRANGER

This is a poetical story about lonely life of a 10 year old boy and his mother, which at one point is distracted by an unknown wounded person, who brings messages from the father who is sitting in jail. 

The film was shot in 2007 during six weeks in Tallinn Patarei prison, Lahemaa National Park near the River of Soodla, and in Läänemaa at Puhtu and in Võrumaa at Tootsi where the Estonian producers Anneli Ahven and Peeter Urbla were responsible.

The director of the film is Jukka-Pekka Valkeapää and the operator is Tuomo Hutri. The main role is played by the Finn with the Russian routes, Vitali Bobrov, his mother is by the Finn Emilia Ikäheimo and the stranger is the Czech actor Pavel Liska. The Estonian actor Hendrik Toompere Jr. is also contributing.
